About Me

My name is Stephanie.  People call me Steph, Stephie, Tephie, Snuggle, Snuggie, Staphonie, Boss, Featherface, to name a few. I have been called Miss. Stephanie as well--perks of working in a school setting--and I have been called Little Stephanie ("perks" of living with another Stephanie who is taller than me).

I work in child care, something that to be honest I hadn't ever for seen in my future.  I have always had a love of teaching, and I have spent many years going back and forth between what I would like to teach, but life it would seem has brought me to Early Childhood Education, which, really, I don't mind.  However, I do miss teaching young school age children.

I received an Associate of Arts Degree in Theatre Performance, and I am working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Studies and Early Childhood Education.  I have taught children of various ages from 2 to 11 years old, and I love watching kids as they learn and grow, both in and out of the classroom.

I come from a family of 11, with 3 brothers and 5 sisters, most of which are older than me and have their own families.  I also have several step siblings that I love very much, and I enjoy spending time with all of them.

I love stories, both reading and writing them.  It is my dream to publish one of the many novels that I have cooking in my brain.  I have had a few poems published, as well as a short story, and a few of my short plays have been performed in front of an actual audience.

I am a bit of a geek, having attended Salt Lake Comic Con since 2014 with every intention of continuing the tradition.  Two of my most memorable moments were meeting Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen in The CW's Arrow series, and Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in the Marvel Comics movie franchise.

My first comic book/superhero love was  DC Comic's Dick Grayson/Robin the Boy Wonder.  He will always be a favorite, though there are others that I like as well.  I am a lover of Anime, but I have to admit my knowledge seems rather small.  I do love Hayao Miyazaki and have seen almost all of his films.  I also enjoy BBC's Sherlock and Merlin.
